About the Pastor

 Pastor Jonas Hilaire was born in Grand Goave, Haiti. There he completed a majority of his studies.  Pastor Hilaire completed his classical studies at Lycee Fito Garcia, Grand Goave and in 2008, he completed his biblical studies at Haiti Arise Ministries in Grand Goave. That same year he was ordained as a minister and served as the Senior Pastor of Evangelical Christian Church.  

In 2009 Pastor Hilaire traveled to the United States where he completed one year of study at Texas Bible Institute. Around that same time he also earned his Associate’s Degree from Houston Community College and is currently pursuing a higher degree in Theology at Life Christian University. 

From 2010-2017 Pastor Jonas served as the worship director at First Haitian Church of God (FHCG). During this time period he was sworn as a minister by the country of Haiti in 2014.  

In July 2017, Pastor Jonas married to the love of his life, Evangeline Hilaire and the two have a beautiful son.

Pastor Hilaire grew tremendously during his years of service to FHCG as Worship Director, and through this role, which we now know to be his spiritual gift, led people closer to God.  

In February 2018, during a time of needed spiritual guidance for FHCG, Pastor Jonas accepted the invitation to be the Senior Pastor and the FHCG Family is elated to be following the man that God has called to us for such as time as this.

Pastor Hilaire leads with an attitude of service, in the same way Jesus came to serve but not to be served. He loves the Lord, his lovely family, and the congregation which he has been blessed with the opportunity to serve.
