Reaching Beyond Our Walls

The Members of FHCG are Regularly donating to 3 different schools in Haiti. These donations assure the children in these schools have meals and supplies necessary for classes and essentially hope for a better future.

Every Quarter, the Youth Ministry of FHCG go out into the most underserved areas of Houston to provide basic necessities including food, toiletry and blankets  all while proving the opportunity for Prayer and the sharing of the Word of God with the purpose of spreading the Love of Christ.

July 2017 a group of volunteers from First Haitian Church of God partnered with a group of missionaries in Haiti for a mission trip with the goal of spreading the Word of God with Love and compassion while developing an insight into the burdens of the less fortunate in the area, all while providing material, spiritual and emotional support. The volunteers of this mission trip traveled through the most rural and underserved parts of the country to evangelize, teach, and fellowship with the lost and brokenhearted. 

Through your thoughtful donations we were able provide hundreds of people in the providence of Les Cayes with clothes, shoes, non-perishable food, and essential toiletry. Our remarkable medical team consisting of a Medical Doctor, a Nurse Practitioner and Nurses offered basic medical care and healthcare education to over 700 people; and through evangelism, and outdoor church services led by the faithful volunteers and missionaries, over 100 people accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior. 

We thank you for your prayers and financial support and are excited about the mission trip to come. 

On August 14, 2021, the Grand Sud departments of Haiti were hit hard by an earthquake measuring 7.2 on the Richter scale. More than 2,200 people died and nearly 13,000 were injured. Several infrastructures and 130,000 houses collapsed.

The moment the leadership and members of First Haitian Church of God of Houston heard of this devastating disaster, we felt moved to take action to provide support and resources. So we humbly extend our thanks to all that donated which allowed us to aid the citizens of Haiti. 

The funds raised over the past several months have been distributed to underserved families in hard hit communities located in Aux Cayes, and Lazile (Département de Nippes) in Haiti. The funds were distributed to trusted liaisons, namely Pastors who were responsible for distributing these funds to families in their respective communities and documenting this effort.
